Rotary Die Cutting
When it comes to piece cutting, the possibilities are endless! You just specify a shape, and more than likely, we can cut it-thanks to our engraved rotary cutting tools. Plus, our dies are produced to match the exact tolerance you’re seeking. Linear perforating, cross perforating, scoring, kiss cutting and extended liner all are possible with this technique. Recommended use on higher volume jobs.
What is rotary die cutting?
Rotary die cutting extracts shapes from soft materials using a cylindrical anvil that rolls and presses the sharp dies over the sheet of the material. Its ability to produce high volumes in a short time frame makes rotary die cutting ultra-efficient for large production runs.
Evans Evco maintains a large library of custom dies and has strong relationships with tooling companies. This ensures our ability to mass produce your precise dimensions from industrial adhesive tapes, foam tapes, overlaminates and more.
When the application calls for gasketing and sealing, rotary die cutting is one of our go-to methods.
Benefits of rotary die cutting
- Most efficient for high-volume production runs.
- Blade depth can be adjusted to produce kiss cuts
- Produces easy assembly formats quickly: extended liners, perforations and scoring
- Highly repeatable, produces consistent quality and uniformity
